Package Notes

Systems manufactured before June 2017

For SCCM system identification, the "WIN32_ComputerSystemProduct Vendor" string to locate your Stone system through an SCCM task is "OEGStone".

The WMI Queries "WMIC ComputerSystem GET Model" or "WMIC BaseBoard GET Product" will return the motherboard model as referenced by the package name, for example B85M-E.

Systems manufactured June 2017 onwards

For SCCM system identification, the "WIN32_ComputerSystemProduct Vendor" string to locate your Stone system through an SCCM task is "OEGStone".

The WMI Queries "WMIC BaseBoard GET Product" will return the motherboard model as referenced by the package name, for example B85M-E.

Please refer to the information box below regarding changes.

Important note: New Microsoft OEM partner program requirements have resulted in a change being implemented that affects the information returned by the WMI query 'WMIC ComputerSystem GET Model'.
Customers will begin to notice that systems return a 'BOAMOT-XXX' value which is the internal stock code Stone attaches to that product, and this is a valid method of identifying their product going forwards.

Systems manufactured before June 2017 will not be impacted by this change, unless they subsequently have a June 2017 or later BIOS applied to them.

The WMI query "WMIC BaseBoard GET Product" will continue to return the correct motherboard model information (example: Q170M-C) and this will ensure ongoing compatiblity with our driver packs and customer deployment environments.
We recommend that customers make preparations for this change which is being phased in from June 2017.
